Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Bodhgaya
bodhgaya-tourHis Lotus Buddhist Path tour begins when you arrive at the airport in Bodhgaya. Our representative will meet you here and transfer to hotel.
Bodhgaya, one of the sacred places of Buddhism is the site of Buddha's enlightenment. Buddha meditating under the Bodhi tree and attained enlightenment here. Visit the Bodhi tree, Diamond Throne, Mahabodhi Temple, a World Heritage Site in Bodhgaya. There are new Buddhist temples built by the Buddhist countries and devotees of Buddha. After dinner, overnight.
Day 02 : Bodhgaya - Nalanda - Rajgir - Patna (110 kms)
nalandaDrive to Patna, the capital of Bihar. En route visit the ruins of Nalanda University and attractions of Rajgir. Nalanda is a ruin, but that is where the Buddhist University was established and has been a center of higher education 5 to 12 century. The remains of Nalanda still preserved.
Rajgir is a Buddhist pilgrimage site. There are several myths related to Rajgir and life of Buddha. It is said that in the garden of Lord Buddha Jivakameavan Jivaka medicated. Visit here Buddhist temples, monasteries, pagodas and monuments. There is also Fort Ajatshatru and Stupa, cyclopean wall, Venu Vana residence of Buddha, Shanti Stupa, Buddha statues with four sparkling, etc. Continue your drive to Patna. On arrival take a hotel. Overnight.
Day 03 : Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar (230 kms)
lord-buddha-visited-vaishaliAfter breakfast at the hotel, moving towards Kushinagar. En route visit Vaishali. Lord Buddha visited Vaishali several times. The second Buddhist council was held here under the reign of Kalasoka. This site was discovered by British archaeologist Alexander Cunningham. Explore the remains preserved in various Vaishali Museum. After visiting Vaishali, Kushinagar lead.
Day 04 : Kushinagar - Lumbini (161 kms)
kushinagar In the 4 th day of India Buddhist pilgrimage tour, you can visit in Kushinagar. It is the place where Buddha died at the age of 80 years. In Buddhism is known as the site of mahaparinirvana. Buddha gave the main teachings of Buddhism in Kushinagar. The main attraction is the Mahaparinirvana Temple, which houses a statue of Buddha dying. Carlleyle in 1876 excavated the main stupa. Other attractions to be explored are Ramabhar Stupa, Matha Kuar Shrine, Meditation Park, etc. Post lunch drive to Lumbini. It is located in Nepal near the Indo Nepal. On arrival take a hotel and spend the night.
Day 05 : Lumbini - Sravasti (254 kms)
lumbini-tourVilla Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha, who was born into a royal family. Born as Siddhartha Gautama, and spent his early years in Kapilvastu kingdom. The main attraction at Lumbini is the Maya Devi temple and the pond Pushkarni. Visit Lumbini and Kapilvastu. After lunch, drive to Sravasti, a site considered sacred in Buddhism. It is located in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. The legend, Buddha charmed critics perform many miracles. On arrival take the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06 : Sravasti - Varanasi
VaranasiHis Buddhist pilgrimage India tour will take you to Varanasi, the Hindu holy city situated on the banks of river Ganges. This city is one of the oldest surviving cities in the world. Upon arrival at Varanasi take the hotel. In the evening visit the Ghats of the River for a night vision Aarti. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 07 : Varanasi - Sarnath
sarnathIn the morning embark on a boat trip on Ganga for a spectacular view of the Ganga morning and the rituals performed by devotees. All River Ghats are busy in the morning with a large number of devotees, sadhus and tourists.
After breakfast, drive to Sarnath on the outskirts of the city. Sarnath is the Buddha's Sangha was formed and gave his first sermon. There are Buddhist monasteries and museums in Sarnath. Buddhist devotees outside India built temples here. King Ashoka built the great pillar of Ashoka at Sarnath, where the national symbol of India has been taken.
Drive back to Varanasi. Visit to Hindu temples and colorful bazaars. Varanasi is always a busy city with large number of devotees and tourists. Here you can see a cosmopolitan character. After dinner, overnight.
Day 08 : Varanasi - Delhi - Departure
