The Ethnic Textile Tour offers you a whole new opportunity to explore and experience the cultural facet of the country of India. The country that symbolises unity in diversity takes you down its cultural gully, where you can witness that here diversification lie in each of its aspect from religion, language, culture, to costumes and even traditions. The Ethnic Textile Tour introduces you to some of the most amazing and world famous textile hubs of the country. Catch a glimpse of some of the most intricate artworks, designs and styles employed by the textile weavers of the country. The 14 day trip takes you on a pan-India journey to some of the most famous textile hubs like West Bengal and Orissa. Get to know the centuries old traditions of the weavers and catch a glimpse of their day to day lives. Also get to visit some famous attractions and points of interest like Lingaraj Temple, Howrah Bridge, and Dongeria Kondh village.


Day 1 : Arrive at Kolkata
Meet and greet our representative after arrival at airport. You will be driven towards the hotel. Check-into hotel and relax. Rest time at leisure. Stroll down the nearby market area in the evening. Night stay at hotel.
Day 2 : Kolkata
Howrah BridgeAfter a great breakfast, get ready for Kolkata city sightseeing tour. Visit some of the most famous attractions like Fort William, Howrah Bridge, Kalighat Kali Temple, Gurusaday Museum, Jawahar Shishu Bhawan, Nakhoda Mosque, Parashnath Jain Temple, and Indian Museum. Also, visit the world famous Botanical Garden in the evening. Dinner and night stay at hotel.
Day 3 : Kolkata - Bhubaneswar
Mukteswar templeBreakfast and then check-out for the Kolkata airport. Board a flight to Bhubaneswar. After arrival at Bhubaneswar, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representative. Take a tour of the City of temples and visit some of its illustrious attractions like Lingaraj Temple, Rajarani Temple, Mukteswar temple, Cactus Garden, Ekamra Kanan etc. also, pay visit to the Khandagiri and Udaygiri hills, which are famed for their rock-cut caves. In the evening take a tour across the famous Tie and Dye textile industry of the city. Get back to hotel. Night at hotel.
Day 4 : Bhubaneswar - Sambhalpur
Hirakund DamPost breakfast set-off for Sambhalpur. Enroute visit Nuapatna, the village of the handloom weavers. The villagers of Nuapatna have been weaving handloom cloths continuously for generations. Meet the weavers of the village, who have been practising the method of tie and dye for generations. Get to see some of their collections and know catch them in action. Proceed towards Sambhalpur. After arrival check-in at hotel. This part of Odisha (Orissa) is the hub of the textile industry of the state and is widely recognized for its ikat or the sambalpuri sarees, their lovely as well as intricate designs. Visit the Gole Bazaar in the afternoon. Also pay visit to some famous places like Hirakund Dam, Huma Temple, and Ushakothi Wildlife Sanctuary. Night stay at hotel.
Day 5 : Sambhalpur - Boudh
Sambalpur textilesBreakfast and then get ready to visit the local village of the handloom weavers. Catch the weavers in action and get a chance to watch the entire process the lovely double-sided Ikat designs are crafted, woven in silver, gold and colored threads. These are the specialty of the Sambalpur textiles & handlooms. After some time leave for Boudh, the place far-famed for its silk Bomkai saree, tie & dye silk & cotton saree. Enjoy shopping from the local marketplace in the evening. Night at hotel.
Day 6 : Boudh - Bissam Cuttack
Leave for Bissam Cuttack after breakfast. En-route visit the Kutia Kondh villages & Phulbani. Night at Bissam Cuttack.
Day 7 : Bissam Cuttack - Jeypore
Dongeria Kondh villagesSet-off for Dongeria Kondh villages in the morning. From here trek down the tribal hills and proceed towards Chatikona, the local Wednesday weekly market . Enjoy your breakfast at Chatikona and then set-off for Jeypore. Stop midway at Koraput for lunch. As you reach Jeypore, check-in at one of our listed hotels. The rest of the day to be spent resting and relaxing. In the evening take a leisurely walk to the nearby market of Jeypore. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Jeypore
Parajas tribeIn the morning after breakfast, proceed to Jeypore. This land of abundance is home to Orissa’s vast tribal population. On reaching Jeypore, check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while in your hotel room embark to the witness delight dance performance of the Parajas tribe. Jeypore is the commercial nerve centre of Koraput district and has all such facilities to serve as the convenient base for visiting the places of interest in and around. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 : Jeypore - Malkangiri
MalkangiriNext morning after breakfast leave for Malkangiri. En-route visit the Friday weekly market at Mathili, also visited by the Bondas. After the visit to the weekly market start for Malkangiri again. On reaching Malkangiri, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Enjoy lunch at the hotel. After lunch visit Iralgundi, the Koya village. In the evening witnessing the Bison head dance of the tribal’s. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 : Malkangiri - Rayagada
Leave for Mudulipada after breakfast. After arrival at Mudulipada take a tour around the Bonda villages. Enjoy lunch at Khairput. Later in the evening set-off for Rayagada. Night stay at Rayagada.
Day 11 : Rayagada - Taptapani
Langia Soura villageBreakfast and then leave for Taptapani. On the way visit the Langia Soura village. Enjoy the amazing war dance performance by the artists. Upon arrival at Taptapani check-into hotel. Night at hotel.
Day 12 : Taptapani - Bhubaneswar
Kalijai templeAfter breakfast, head out for Chilka Lake. Enjoy a boat ride to the Kalijai temple situated on an island in the lake. Enjoy lunch at Barkul. Later, proceed towards Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a hotel. Rest time at leisure. Night at hotel.
Day 13 : Bhubaneswar - Kolkata
Brahmeswara templeBreakfast and then set-out for a half day Bhubaneswar city tour. Visit famous points of interest like Brahmeswara temple, Bindu Sarovar, ISKON temple, tribal museum. Have lunch and then leave for airport Board flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Rest Time at leisure. Night at hotel.
Day 14 : Kolkata - Departure
